Paper Abstract:
|
Usability testing of commercial of the Shelf (COTS) applications like ERP system is still challenging area. The reason is that commercial of the shelf (COTS) ERP applications are complex, not generic and specific to requirements. In ERP system usually software vendors are not directly involved during implementation of products (like Oracle or SAP) consequently resulting in lack of proper feedback on usability from real or potential users. ERP application is a package of module to make more efficient use of business processes. Many implementation failures have been reported including those from user point of view. The aim of this paper is to propose a new method to investigate usability issue during implementation thereby providing usability feed back to software vendor so that they can analyze and overcome usability issues in their new or future release. In this paper we have considered two usability attribute learnability and memorability and it is concluded that users are happy with the application interface. |
